If the fuel is in good condition, it can be filtered and transferred to a new tank. During the decommissioning process the liquid can be stored in one of our holding tanks on site to ensure smooth and fast turnover process.
Fuel Tank Cleaning and Decontamination
In some cases the tank needing decommissioning may appear empty. It is important to note that it is still possible for some oil or other hazardous materials to still be present inside. This can create a safety risk for your site. Once all content is removed our engineers will clean the tank thoroughly to ensure there are no leftovers of any hazardous materials inside. Only then the tank can be manipulated further to complete the decommissioning process.
Fuel Tank Removal or Filling
Depending on the state and location of your oil tank, there are several ways it can be decommissioned. Our expert team will talk you through your options before work commences. These are usually – removing the tank completely if it’s in an accessible location, filling it with concrete and foam or cleaning the tank and leaving it where it is.
